Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Family100 collects, uses, protects, and deletes personal data when you interact with our websites, mobile applications, and related services.

Last updated: 9/19/2025
Information We Collect

We collect: (a) account and identity data such as your name, email address, authentication provider identifiers, billing details, and preferred language; (b) family space data that you create, including child profiles, activity check-ins, uploaded photos or videos, and notes; (c) technical and usage data such as device identifiers, browser type, IP address, and event logs; and (d) communications you send to our support or trust teams.

Children’s Privacy and Parental Responsibilities

Family100 is designed for parents, guardians, and educators. We only collect information about children that is submitted by an adult account holder, and we treat that data as personal data of the supervising adult. You must obtain any required parental or guardian consent before sharing a child’s information with us and ensure that children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) access the service only under your supervision. If you believe we have collected a child’s data without the appropriate consent, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

How We Use Personal Data

We process personal data to deliver and personalise the service, maintain secure authentication, provide customer support, analyse product performance, develop new features, and send service or compliance communications. We may also process data to enforce our Terms of Service, protect the safety of families using the platform, and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data. We disclose information only to: (a) vetted processors that help us operate the service (hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, payment processing); (b) other users you authorise within your family space; (c) professional advisers, auditors, or insurers bound by confidentiality; and (d) public authorities or courts when required by law. Whenever we engage a processor we require contractual safeguards that mirror this Privacy Policy.

Security Safeguards

We maintain administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, security logging, regular penetration testing, and incident response procedures aligned with global standards.

Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Family activity content remains available until you delete it or close your account. Support correspondence and audit logs are generally retained for up to 24 months. Where legal obligations require longer retention, we store only the minimum data necessary.

Data Deletion Requests

You may delete individual entries at any time, or permanently close your account by navigating to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. Account deletion removes associated family content within 30 days except where retention is mandated by law. You can also email privacy@fam100.com with the subject ‘Data Deletion Request’ and the email address linked to your account. Meta (Facebook) users may initiate deletion via https://www.fam100.com/facebook/data-deletion; requests submitted through Meta or by email are acknowledged within seven days and completed within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain specific records.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain session security. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies or pixels to understand feature adoption. You can manage optional cookies in your browser settings or within your account preferences at any time.

Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction over your personal data, and you may object to certain processing or request data portability. Residents of the EEA, UK, Brazil, California, and other jurisdictions have additional rights which we honour. To exercise any right, contact privacy@fam100.com and we will respond within 30 days.

International Data Transfers

We store data on infrastructure located in the United States and the European Union. When data is transferred across borders, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other valid transfer mechanisms and ensure that processors provide adequate safeguards.

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Material updates will be notified via email or in-app notice, and the ‘Last updated’ date will be revised accordingly.
