fam100 supports multi-caregiver households, extended family, and trusted helpers. Use invitations to decide who can join and what they can do.
Sharing your join code
- Open Family Workspace → Members.
- Click Share join code to generate a temporary code.
- Send the code via text, email, or any messaging app. Codes automatically expire after 72 hours.
- When a relative enters the code, you’ll receive a notification to approve or decline the request.
Tip: Turn on Auto-approve if you only share codes within your immediate household.
Sending direct invitations
- Use Invite by email for grandparents or caregivers who prefer a link. They’ll receive an email with a secure magic link to create their account.
- Pending invites appear in the Requests tab so you can resend or cancel them anytime.
Understanding roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Manage billing, edit family settings, approve members, delete content |
| Editor | Add activities, record check-ins, edit child profiles |
| Contributor | Record check-ins and view progress (ideal for older siblings) |
| Viewer | Watch progress and browse cards without making changes |
Promote or demote a member via the ⋯ menu next to their name. Changes apply instantly across devices.
Removing members
- Select Remove from family from the member menu. Their contribution history stays in the timeline for transparency.
- If someone leaves temporarily, consider switching them to Viewer rather than removing them completely.
Thoughtful role assignments keep your family space both collaborative and secure.
